Canadian National Railway currently operates freight and passenger rail services along the double-tracked mainline along the Windsor - Quebec City corridor. The Port spur line connects to this mainline and through interchange agreements provides service to Canadian Pacific Rail customers as well.
The Port of Johnstown is located near the junction of several major roadways which provide direct access to important local, regional and international opportunities. Two major provincial highways - the 401 which links to Montreal and Toronto and the 416 which links to Ottawa.
These are high-volume limited access arteries which intersect within two kilometers of the Port and are also linked to the Prescott-Ogdensburg bridge to the USA. Direct access to the Port via Country Road No. 2 which affords local accessibility to neighbouring Seaway towns such as Prescott, Cardinal and Brockville.
